PERSISTENCE

“Slow water erodes rock. As water flows over rock, in an extremely slow manner, it dissolves the minerals from the rock and carries the ions. Over a long period of time, the flowing water erodes massive amounts of accumulative rock. The Colorado River has been carving and forming the Grand Canyon into what it is for the past five to six million years. There’s nothing short about this process. It’s tedious, it’s painfully gradual, but the results lead to tremendous things. All great things require time; they require determination, dedication, and patience. Like I said before, the Grand Canyon didn’t form over night. It takes years of intense pursuit to find ones true limits in any one field of practice. Your dreams and goals are on the other side of how deliberately perpetual you can be at working towards what you set out for. Like Emily Dickinson said, “One step at a time is all it takes to get you there.” Persistence guarantees results, nothing extraordinary is achieved without lots of small wins and progressions day after day. Remember, slow water erodes rock.”

Excited to present the first installment in my new “Values Collection,” titled “Persistence.” Each piece in the collection will represent a principle, this one being persistence. The principle is represented symbolically in the imagery of the piece. This talisman is a reminder to the wearer that change happens with one move at a time, results will follow if you just keep going. The Brain Packaging symbolizes my goal for this project, which is for the collector turn this information into knowledge.

This pendant features princess cut aquamarine hand crafted in sterling silver with 18ky/14ky gold accents and measures 1.5” X .75”. It comes on 2mm black Italtian leather cord with sterling silver slide clasps so that once the pendant is on your neck you can adjust the length as needed (can substitute leather for chain upon request). The 4 jump rings on the leather are 14k yellow gold. Piece includes hand made laser engraved wooden box, leather cord or chain, certificate of authenticity, concept excerpt card.
